The Mechanical Engineering Students' Society (MESS) is about to hold its Annual General Meeting. The main aims of the Society are to provide support for Mechanical Engineering Students through student-run tutorials and consultation with the faculty, as well as to provide for social events for Mech Eng Students. We strongly encourage all Mechanical Eng students (and those interested in Mechanical Engineering) to attend this meeting and consider running for positions - all positions are up for grabs and new faces are most welcome. Nominations will take place on the day. The positions available for the 2008-2009 committee are:

MESS Student Tutorials are back. Now that we have finally secured some money to run these we are currently looking for a few tutors (three to be exact) to run these tutorials. This semester there will be tutorials for three half subjects:
Mechanics 1 (Mechanics of Solids)
Mechanics 1 (Dynamics of Machines)
Thermofluids 2 (Thermodynamics)
We are looking for people with good communication skills, who have completed these subects with high honours grades. If you are interested please email us your CV and a copy of your academic transcript (unofficial is fine) by Friday 18th April.
